Dr. Carlin has been in private practice in State College since 1975. He has also been active in the State College community. He served as vice president and board member of the Centre Area Health Council, president of the American Cancer Society of Centre County and chairman of the State College Borough Parking Authority. Currently, he serves as the Chair of the Centre Community Hospital golf tournament.
Centre County volunteer of the year in 1979 and 1987, co-founder and board member of the Sightloss Support Group of Central Pennsylvania.
Dr. Carlin served as president of the Mid-county Optometric Society and currently serves as treasurer. He served on the Resolution and Bylaws committee of the Pennsylvania Optometric Society. Additionally, he is a member of the contact lens section of the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Cymbor joined Nittany Eye Associates in 1997. He completed a one year residency/fellowship in hospital based optometry with an emphasis in ocular disease at the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center.
He frequently lectures on all aspects of ocular disease with an emphasis in glaucoma. He is a principal investigator in numerous contact lens research studies. He is a glaucoma researcher.

Dr. Moon is a founding partner of Nittany Eye Associates. In addition to her optometric training, she completed specialized residency training in Pediatrics and Binocular Vision Rehabilitation services. She has served as a consultant for 11 years at the John Heinz Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine in Wilkes-Barre and has provided consultative services to the Tuscarora Intermediate Unit, the Keystone Central School District, the Mifflin County School District, and the Neurodevelopment Team at the University Hospital and Rehabilitation Center of the Hershey Medical Center.
Her most notable contribution to the POA has been in the development of the POA’s Kids Welcome Here (sm) pediatric vision care campaign. Dr. Moon was awarded the Dr. W. David Sullins, Jr. Award which recognizes an individual OD who has made significant contributions to optometry and public service involving the InfantSEE ™ program. In addition, in 2000 her peers named her “OD of the Year” for both the Mid-Counties Optometric Society and the Pennsylvania Optometric Association. She founded the annual Give Kids Vision for the Future program in cooperation with the Centre Volunteers in Medicine. In 1992, she was the recipient of the Penn-Del AER Distinguished Service Award. She is a fellow in the American Academy of Optometry.
Dr. Moon has been a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the Mid-Counties Optometric Society (MCOS) since 1978. She has served as vice-president and president of MCOS, President of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association, President of the Altrusa International, Inc. of Centre County, Professional Advisory Committee of the Central Pennsylvania Sightloss Support Group and the Centre County Learning Disabilities Association, chair of the Women in Optometry Task Force and the Professional Development Committee, POA’s Board of Directors as Division Executive Officer for the Administration and Planning, Communications, and Professional Development Divisions. Currently elected Vice-Chair of the Governor’s appointment and Senate confirmation to serve on the Pennsylvania State Board of Examiner and the Board of Directors of the Penn-Del chapter of the Association of Educators and Rehabilitators of the Blind and Visually Impaired (AER).. In addition, she has been a member of the Low Vision Rehabilitation Committee, the Editorial Review Committee, Motorists Vision Committee, the Nominating and Evaluation Committee, the Interprofessional Relations Committee, the Healthy Persons 2010 Committee, and the Pediatric Vision Care Committee.

Dr. Theodorous is a native of western Pennsylvania and did his undergraduate work at the University of Pittsburgh. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree with honors in 1990, also receiving citations for Clinical Honors in Low Vision and Excellence in Ocular Pathology. He is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa and the Gold Key Honor Societies.
He is a member of two churches; Holy Trinity Orthodox Church and St. Luke’s Lutheran Church where he is currently the acting youth director. He is a member of the State College Elks, the Centre Hall Lion’s Club, Masons Old Fort Lodge No. 537, and assistant den leader for Cub Scout Pack 381.
Dr. Theodorous and his wife Kim are married for thirty-three years and have three children.

He is an active member of the American Optometric Association as well as the Pennsylvania State Optometric Association where he serves as Trustee, and is Past President and Vice President of the local Mid-Counties Optometric Society. He is currently serving as Chairman of the Board of Vision Benefits of America: a nonprofit Pennsylvania corporation founded to promote the visual welfare of Pennsylvania citizens.

Dr. Talone completed residency/fellowship training in ocular disease from the University of Houston, College of Optometry. He has served as the regional Clinical Director of TLC Laser Eye Centers Pittsburgh and State College locations prior to joining Nittany Eye Associates.
He enjoys fly fishing, golf, and running with his wife, Tonya and their Bernese Mountain dog, Zoe

Following graduation from optometry school, Dr. Trego remained in Philadelphia with a practice based in Wills Eye Hospital, which specialized in both contact lens management of corneal disease and low vision rehabilitation of macular disease.
Dr. Trego, a native of Mifflinburg, and his wife Danielle, an Altoona native, returned to the area and settled in State College in 2007. They have a daughter, Natalie, and an English bulldog, Ralph.
Dr. Trego graduated with clinical honors in Low Vision and Primary care at Pennsylvania College of Optometry.

Dr. Russell joined Nittany Eye Associates in July 2010. She is a Tyrone native and graduate of Tyrone Area High School. While in high school Dr. Russell was a member of the Tyrone Area Swim, Cross Country and Track Teams. While attending Juniata College she participated on the Women’s Swim Team. Dr. Russell now resides in State College with her husband William Russell, also a Tyrone native. In her free time she enjoys reading, outdoor activities and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Russell graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry with Highest Honors and was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Society. She was also cited for clinical honors in her primary care, contact lens, ocular disease, low vision and hospital rotations. In addition, she received the Cooper Vision excellence in Contact Lenses Award.
